Professions that require particular licenses include regulation, drugs, piloting aircraft, selling liquor, radio broadcasting, promoting funding securities, selling used vehicles, and roofing. Local jurisdictions may also require special licenses and taxes just to operate a business. “Going public” through a process known as an initial public offering means that part of the enterprise shall be owned by members of the public. This requires the group as a definite entity, to disclose information to the public, and adhering to a tighter set of laws and procedures. Most public entities are companies that have sold shares, but increasingly there are also public LLC’s that sell models , and other extra unique entities as nicely, such as, for example, real estate funding trusts in the US, and unit trusts within the UK. Private profit-making companies are completely different from authorities-owned bodies.
